The Dallas area is buzzing with major events this week, especially for sports fans and music lovers. The Dallas Mavericks will be hitting the court at the American Airlines Center on Wednesday to face the Miami Heat, and again on Saturday against the Houston Rockets. The Dallas Stars also have a busy schedule, battling the San Jose Sharks on Friday and the Pittsburgh Penguins on Sunday. The weekend's biggest sports spectacle, however, is the Big 12 Football Championship at AT&T Stadium on Saturday, featuring a historic matchup between the Texas Tech Red Raiders and the BYU Cougars.

Beyond the arenas, the Dallas entertainment scene offers a diverse lineup. Concert highlights include Xavi's X-Tour at Toyota Music Factory and hannah bahng's Misunderstood World Tour at the House of Blues on Wednesday. Comedy fans can catch comedian Rodney Perry at the Arlington Improv throughout the weekend, and Kiana Dancie performs at The Women's Museum on Friday and Saturday.
